The brand was founded with a mission: to fill a gap with an unspoiled, neutral, and international name for modern, high-quality women’s fashion—featuring excellent fit, timeless aesthetics, and genuine sartorial ambition, regardless of age or size. The market environment, brand story, target audience, collection concept, and distribution channels are all defined, tested, and proven over three years in practice.
The original legal entity behind lovely sisters was privately financed. The budgets needed to fund the growth of pre-orders for the Fall/Winter 2024 season—through production pre-financing—had been exhausted two and a half years earlier due to the COVID-19 crisis. Despite doubling pre-order quotas, declining return rates, and disproportionately increasing D2C and B2C sales, the shareholders had to pull the plug.
The brand's founder, Jens Herzig, has never lost his passion for lovely sisters. On the contrary: building on the foundation he has already laid, he now sees excellent opportunities for a relaunch and the structured reintroduction of a brand that focuses on a target group that is set to grow empirically in the coming decades, given the largely comparable brand mix at most POS. He owns the naming rights, but he is not insisting on them. He is interested in the project and the story. The collection framework plan is in place. Cost planning, market positioning, brand story, marketing idea, procurement channels, and sales channels are clearly defined.
